GreenNotes Journals black binding wire is made with 97% post consumer metals and is standard. White, Bronze, or Pewter wire are options. Price includes any one of 36 foil imprints up to 16square inches with a one-time set-up fee.

For printing Journalbooks use plant based inks which are better than soy based inks and are harmless to the environment. They are compared to vegetable oil.The Classic journals have 100% recycled covers. Even the poly covers in the classic line are completely recycled. The poly covers are recycled milk cartons.

All of Journalbooks filler has a minimum of 15% recycled content and all custom journals can be upgraded to 100% recycled post consumer filler. Wire binding is 97% recycled steel. Only 3% is virgin steel. An optional eco pen made out of recycled fiber board and plastic can be added to any order.

In addition Journalbooks recently received certification from the Forest Stewardship
Council (FSC). FSC is internationally recognized as the world’s leading third-party
verification agency dedicated to sustainable development and improvement principle
applied to forest management.

Certification by FSC now allows Journalbooks to offer its vast variety of paper products with the FSC trademark. Only paper produced under strict FSC oversight and companies operating under FSC standards may use this mark.
